Terms of service

In summary: you score your games, we broadcast them, and you pay for the hours of video you use. The sections below set out the detail.

Last updated 12 October 2026.

1. What we provide

Software for scoring baseball and softball games, for broadcasting them to a YouTube channel you control, and for sending copies of the video to other destinations you choose.

We do not provide the camera, the connection at the field, or the YouTube channel. A broadcast depends on all three and on YouTube itself.

None of those destinations is our partner. You give us an address, we send video to it, and whoever runs that address has agreed to nothing with us. Each of them decides for itself what it accepts, and each can change its mind at any time.

2. What you are responsible for

That you have the standing to enter a child on a roster and to add their photograph, and that you have permission from that child's parent or guardian to do so. We cannot check this and do not.

That the games you broadcast are ones you are entitled to broadcast.

That you may use any sponsor logo or artwork you upload. It goes out on a public broadcast under your team's name.

The audio your camera captures. YouTube reviews every broadcast for music it recognizes, and it may mute the video, restrict it, or issue a strike against the channel. Repeated strikes can result in the channel being closed permanently. The channel belongs to you, and so does the outcome. We recommend caution with recorded music played over ballpark speakers during a broadcast.

3. What is not allowed

You may not use travelball.gg to do any of these things:

  • Post a name, a logo, a photograph, a listing or a message that is offensive, sexual, hateful or threatening.
  • Harass, threaten or keep contacting a person who does not want it.
  • Contact a child, or try to find out where a child will be, for any reason other than a team's own business with that child's parent.
  • Pretend to be another person, a coach or a parent.
  • Post spam, advertising or a scam, or collect other people's contacts.
  • List a child on a roster, a profile or a pickup listing without the permission of that child's parent or guardian.

You can report a listing, a team, a player's profile or a person in the app. We read each report. We may hide a listing, a photograph or a logo, and we may close the account of a person who breaks these rules. We refuse the same email address where we can. You can block a person in the app; we do not tell that person.

If you think we made a mistake, write to hello@travelball.gg.

4. Billing

Plans are monthly. Each includes a number of hours of broadcast. Hours are counted from the moment you start a broadcast, not from when a camera connects — a camera left running through warmups costs nothing.

There is no per-hour charge and nothing that lands on a later bill. A broadcast already running is never stopped for money; when your hours are gone, the next broadcast does not start until you move up a plan. Any single broadcast stops after three hours.

Your first game is free and does not require a card.

Cancel at any time. A plan you cancel runs to the end of the month you have paid for. Your videos are on your own channel and stay there.

We do not give refunds. Payment for a month is not returned once that month has begun, including where a broadcast is affected by action YouTube takes against your channel, by another destination declining our video, by a camera or a connection at the field, or where you make no use of the month at all. Your first game is free of charge, so that you can evaluate the service before you pay for it.

5. YouTube

Broadcasting uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Our privacy policy says what we read from your channel, what we keep, and how to take our access back.

6. Copies we send to other destinations

You supply an address and we send a copy of your video to it. GameChanger is the most common choice, but the address is yours to select and we do not verify where it leads. You are responsible for holding the right to send video to that destination.

Any destination may decline our video at any time and for any reason, and we have no means of preventing this. A service may block us, change what it accepts, or cease accepting video from outside its own application.

Should this occur with a destination that a significant number of teams depend on, we will notify you and may withdraw it from the product. Scoring and the YouTube broadcast are unaffected. No refund, in whole or in part, is given because a copy to another destination has ceased to work.

7. The Data API

The Data API lets software of your own, such as a team website, read a team's games, lineups, and statistics. It is sold per team, each month, apart from your plan. It only reads. It does not change anything in your account.

Each team with the Data API has one key. Anyone who holds that key can read what you can see for that team, including the full names of the children on its roster. Keep the key on a server you control, and never put it in a web page or in an app that other people download. You are responsible for every request made with your key and for what happens to the data after we send it. If you think a key has leaked, regenerate it at once.

Use the Data API only for the team the key belongs to, and only for that team's own purposes — its website, its league, its records. Excessive or unintended use is prohibited. Excessive use means requests far beyond what that purpose needs, or any attempt to get around our request limits, such as spreading requests across several keys or accounts. Unintended use includes reselling or passing on the data, offering it as a service to others, building a directory, dataset, or product from children's information, sharing a key with anyone outside the team's own purpose, trying to read data the key is not for, and testing or interfering with the service.

We set limits on how many requests a key may make, and we may change them at any time.

If we find excessive or unintended use, we may revoke the key and suspend or close the account at once, without notice. No refund, in whole or in part, is given — not for the Data API, and not for any plan on the account.

8. What we do not promise

We do not promise that a broadcast will run without interruption. Connections at the field fail, cameras fail, and YouTube has outages of its own. When a broadcast is affected we will tell you what we know, and we will continue to work on the parts of the chain within our control.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY BROADCAST, RECORDING, OR SCORE WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

9. Limit of our liability

In summary, and before the formal wording below: our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you have paid us. We are not responsible for the wider consequences of a broadcast that does not take place — a game that goes unrecorded, footage a player expected for recruiting, or exposure a sponsor did not receive.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AND EVEN IF CAUSED BY OUR OWN NEGLIGENCE, DAYMAN INVESTMENTS LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST OPPORTUNITY, LOST GOODWILL, OR LOST, CORRUPTED, OR UNRECORDED VIDEO, SCORES, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER OR NOT WE WERE ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IF YOU PAID US NOTHING, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS.

THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY TO ANY LIABILITY THAT THE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW US TO LIMIT — INCLUDING FRAUD, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW SOME OF THESE EXCLUSIONS, SO SOME OF THEM MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

These limits form part of the basis on which the service is priced. We provide software for scoring and broadcasting; we do not insure the outcome of your season.

10. Ending an account

You may close your account at any time.

We may suspend or close any account at any time and for any reason. In practice we do so where an account is being misused — for example, broadcasting games the account holder has no right to broadcast, adding a child to a roster without a parent's permission, reselling broadcast hours, excessive or unintended use of the Data API, or interfering with the service for other customers. We will tell you the reason.

Your videos remain on your own channel in either case. Closing an account with us does not affect them.

When you delete your account, your sign-in, name, email, seats and follows are removed. A team's games and statistics stay, and a parent may ask us to remove their own child. The "How long we keep it" section of our privacy policy has the detail.
